SYSTEM: STEPS TO PERMANENT SUCCESS
The user
begins to lose weight following all three major parts of the system. Success
is achieved because he/she is:
- Getting
the nutrients that are known to aid in weight loss62,63,
as detailed above.
- Reducing
total caloric intake, in a sustainable, non-restrictive way that cuts
out unhealthful foods and builds overall fitness and good health.
- Reducing
overall fat intake (thus diminishing the FIT-reducing effect of dietary
fat).
- More
active, in an easy, natural, sustainable way. Energy expenditure goes
up.
The
program is designed to be as simple and easy to follow as possible. This
is a very important aspect of BioSlim — it is the key to the ability of
users to maintain the program. Ease of use is accomplished in several
ways, including: -
Scrupulously
avoiding any requirement to count anything (calories, fat grams, carb
grams). This reduces the feeling of restrictiveness and oppressive
dieting. Instead, users utilize a simple plan for improving the quality
of ingested food, with a view to improving health while reducing overall
caloric intake. Note that it is perfectly possible under this plan
to eat a considerably higher volume of food yet take in much

- There
are no specific rigorous menus to follow or foods to eat. BioSlim

After weight
loss is achieved, users may discontinue the nutritional Formulas, but
should not discontinue the basic principles of BioSlim.64,65,66 This creates the permanent results that the BioSlim program so strongly
focuses on. By incorporating the basic, healthful, easy-to-follow Food
and Activity Plans into their lives, users can ensure that the weight
does not return.
Note
that the “rebound” effect often seen in dieters is caused in part by lean-body
mass (muscle) losses during inappropriate dieting.33-37 When muscle is lost along with fat in an overly severe diet, the total
amount of energy burned by the body is reduced, because the muscles are
in effect the furnaces in which that energy is burned. With BioSlim, this
undesirable effect is minimized: -
by
the gentle, healthful nature of the program itself, which avoids extreme
changes in favor of highly effective, maintainable improvements
in lifestyle, diet and activity level;

CAN
YOU EAT MORE AND STILL LOSE WEIGHT?
BioSlim does not restrict the amount of food users eat. It simply shows
users how to control the quality of that food. It is possible,
for example, to eat 4 TIMES as much salad using the BioSlim Food Principles
(one of which is “no added fats”), and get only ? the calories of a salad
prepared without regard to the BioSlim Principles. The oily dressing,
greasy croutons and cheese that can be added to the latter salad can more
than account for the difference in calorie content, and in healthfulness.
One way, the BioSlim way, builds health and aids in weight normalization;
the other, non-BioSlim way contributes to obesity and ill health.
